For me MT5 is better because it is faster and also there is python library which helps me to code custom EAs and trade with HFM

I have never used cTrader, for broker support, MT5 is mostly used by forex brokers, I think MT5 is a sophisticated platform, for execution speed I think it also depends on the quality of the broker's server too.
