Yeah correct it's just a way of marketing illegal forex trading (trading with bad brokers) because the idea of getting money under management is quite popular among traders. Also if you are really profitable they can steal your trading trick.
 
It is enough for me that my broker continues to fulfill its obligations on minimal spreads, fast execution and timely withdrawal of profits, and it meets my requirements. I am used to being personally responsible only for my money and investments and trusting only my trading system.
 
I've never registered a prop firm, but seeing the concept of offering larger trading capital funding, but the screening of candidate traders is strict, it seems very difficult so not all traders fit the criteria.
