Looking for an indicator which tell that most people are in buying or selling trend

I have recently came across a trader, he use some kind of indicator or something. And it tell him that most people are in buying or selling. Is it possible?

Use such an indicator that provides traders with a trend-specific ideas. Then select a regulated trading broker.

Maybe he is watching the book of orders.. But I don`t know if it works properly with forex brokers
