EA and Indicators installation

Hi guys, how can I install the indicators or expect advisors to metatrader 4?

1. Locate and copy the MT4 custom indicator file on your computer. These are the MT4 indicator files that you would have downloaded.
2. Open the data folder
3. Open MQL4 file.
4. Open the indicators folder.
5. Paste the files.
6. Restart MetaTrader 4.


The same can be done with expert advisors except that in case of expert advisors, instead of the 'indicators' folder, go to 'experts' folder under 'MQL4' folder and paste it in 'experts' folder.

Can we change the setting of indicator or customize it ? or may can create the new indicator ?

In MT4:

From the Top Menu, go to View and from the drop-down menu, click on Navigator. The keyboard shortcut key is (Ctrl + N)

Now you can see a list with all your Indicators and Expert Advisors on the left column.

You can choose the indicator you wish.
One way is by left-click of the mouse and dragging it to the chart


The first time you drag it to the chart it pops up a window where you can see on the top the following tabs:

About, Common, Inputs, Colors, Visualization

You can customize the indicator by clicking on the Input tab, and the Colors tab

Can we change the setting of indicator or customize it ? or may can create the new indicator ?

Of course you can change the setting of an indicator while you paste it in a chart but for creating a new indicator you will have to compile a new one in mql4 or mql5 language.
