In general, MT4 is easier to use, and recommended for new traders. MT5 has more features.

I love that it gives you more timeframes to select than mt4 which is limited

I have used both and prefer mt4 over mt5. 4 years down the road and I wouldn't want to trade on anything other than mt4 but could just be personal preference
