Over trading is one of the reasons many traders get margin call. Actually it is the greed that makes a trader over trading. They want to get rich by overnight. If any trade goes against them they open another trade in the hope of recovering the loss as soon as possible. It happens for the lack of knowledge and discipline.

Overtrading is probably one of the most prevalent mistakes both new traders and old traders struggle with. The notion behind over trading for many people is greed but no, some traders do not over trade because of greediness, some traders over trade because they feel they need to be in the market every time and another reason being that they are always impatient to follow their trading plan and end up taking trades outside their trading plan. To overcome over-trading as a psychological problem, your goal should be to execute your trading plan as it is and nothing more. And that needs to include your risk limits and being disciplined with your trades.
