How helpful is a trendline strategy?

When in a trend can trendlines help predict pull back zone and/or a reversal zone and if so how?.
 
Sometimes, like all different types of strategies it is not full proof. Best to wait once the trendline is broken and retested to then enter a trade rather then thinking the reversal is going to happen
