The cryptocurrency platform Crypto dot com allegedly lost some 15 million US dollars due to a hacking attack. According to a recent report, the company was robbed of about 4600 Ethereum and were allegedly “washed via TornadoCash”.
The day before the reported hack the company had blocked withdrawals due to some odd activities, stating that “We have a small number of users reporting suspicious activity on their accounts. We will be pausing withdrawals shortly, as our team is investigating.”
Even so, the company assured users that their money were safe and refused to admit that they had been hacked. However, users noticed ETH disappearing from their accounts, even though the company denied it, but then finally admitted that “a small number” of users were experiencing unauthorized activity on their accounts.
Finally the company started accepting withdrawals again but stuck to its position that there was no theft, eventually announcing: Withdrawal services have been restored. All funds are safe,” and that “it will take time to clear the backlogs. We appreciate your patience.”

It all sounds very suspicious, in my opinion. Transparency is always the better option.
